Why LIV RV No Longer Permits 3rd Party Inspectors

1 scaled Why LIV RV No Longer Permits 3rd Party Inspectors

At LIV RV, we understand that customers want confidence in the quality and condition of their unit. We respect that and appreciate the desire for peace of mind.

To help avoid confusion and protect the integrity of our products, LIV RV no longer allows third-party inspectors on our units.

LIV RV trailers are built differently than traditional travel trailers. Our units use advanced composite materials and construction methods that are not the same as the wood-framed RVs many inspectors are used to evaluating. Because of that, outside inspectors may apply the wrong standards, misunderstand certain design features, or incorrectly identify normal LIV RV construction methods as issues.

For example, some inspectors have reported that a unit had “no sealant” in certain areas, when in fact the unit was built with an upgraded gasket sealing system rather than a traditional sealant application. In cases like this, the issue was not a defect, but unfamiliarity with how LIV RV units are built.

This policy was also put in place because outside inspections can slow down the production process significantly. They take time away from our factory team, interrupt workflow, and reduce production efficiency. With demand for our units continuing to grow, it is important that we keep production moving as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

In addition, outside inspections have too often led to inaccurate conclusions, unnecessary customer concern, and in some cases even damage to units during the inspection process. Not all outside inspectors are RVIA certified, which can further increase the likelihood of inconsistent or incorrect evaluations.

LIV RV’s manufacturing facility is RVIA certified and inspected regularly. Every unit also goes through our own internal quality control process, including inspection by an RVIA-certified inspector after it leaves the production line.

This means your unit is reviewed through a formal inspection process designed specifically around how LIV RV products are engineered and built.

Our goal is to provide accurate evaluations, maintain product quality, protect our customers, and keep production running efficiently. This policy is not about limiting transparency. It is about making sure units are assessed by people who fully understand LIV RV construction and doing so in a way that supports both quality and timely production.

If you ever have questions or concerns about your unit, we encourage you to contact us directly through the LIV RV support portal. Our team is happy to review any concern and provide clear guidance based on the actual design and construction of your unit.
